Moringa Oleifera is one of the most popular supplements on the market today, and there’s a good reason for that. This supplement comes with plenty of studies backing up its efficacy, lots of nutrients to boost your workout and more.
So, what’s the deal with this exciting new pill?
Well, like many other popular supplements to hit the market in recent years, it comes with a lot of hype attached to it. Unfortunately, when supplements are „over-hyped,“ they’re also hard to trust.

Some studies indicate that the substance may be able to fight back against things like bacteria and reduce your risk of anti-inflammatory diseases like rheumatism and arthritis, although these claims require further exploration.

Four studies conducted into rats where aspirin had been induced through aspirin overdose found that Moringa Oleifera was capable of reducing the damage to the stomach.

Various rodent studies have also implicated Moringa Oleifera at being effective in improving the management of blood glucose in diabetes too. Whether the diabetes is caused by problems that harm the pancreas, or insulin resistance caused by genetics and weight gain, the supplement can have highly protective properties.
One study into humans used a small dose of 4 grams of Moringa Oleifera leaves to treat people with 2 diabetes. The research found that the substance could increase the secretion of insulin in diabetics after just one dose. Unfortunately, at this time, it’s not certain what’s going on to create these effects. We’ll need extra research to know for sure.
Are There Any Side Effects with Moringa Oleifera?
Now that you know all the benefits of Moringa Oleifera, you’re probably wondering if there are any dangers you need to be aware of too. After all, it’s no good tapping into all the benefits of this new substance if you’re risking your health to do so. The good news is that when it comes to researching the leaf extracts, higher than normal levels aren’t currently linked to any side-effects.
However, some toxicological studies into the rodents using methanolic extracts from the leaves of this plant showed that there could be some harm caused by an overdose. However, this was only the case when the rats consumed six times the regular dose.
For the most part, you can probably consider Moringa Oleifera to be relatively safe as long as you don’t go over the top with your dosage. As usual, it’s essential to make sure that you use any supplement carefully to get the right results.

Ultimately, Moringa Oleifera is a highly nutritious and healthy vegetable substance, although it’s not necessarily better for you than any of the other cruciferous vegetables you can get from your local store. The only unique thing about this substance is that it could come with some exclusive benefits for glycemic control and stomach health. If you happen to be someone worried about stomach ulcers or diabetes, then this could be the substance for you.
On top of that, it’s also interesting to note that if you ever run out of soap, you can simply crush the leaves in your hands and you’ve got a replacement for all the hygienic substances you need. Still, it may not be the supplement you want to write home about.
